The tikos are made of thinly cut rattan fibres, wound
round with very thin threads of rattan, some with a glass bead
at every 1,5 to 2 cm. Several of them are worn around each leg
just under the knee. Wearing them gives the legs strength and
protects the wearer from falling or spraining the ankles.
